About the People Team
The PL People Team enables Protocol Labs’ success  by designing and leading innovative people programs that attract and enable Labbers to do their best work. Our team is composed of Recruiting and People Operations. Together, we support all initiatives involving attracting, hiring, engaging, retaining, and developing Labbers. 
The PBP role is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle People Ops support to managers and leaders. Partnering closely with the Head of People you will own the relationships with managers and leaders to support their business outcomes using your HR toolkit. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, coaching managers, and partnering with our People Ops team to execute on program implementation. 

About the role

    • Coach, influence and build relationships; Be the primary point of contact for managers and leaders on their ‘people’ related business goals
    • Partner with leadership to develop and implement people management practices, empower cross-functional collaboration as it relates to people programs, advise on key organizational structure design, and more 
    • Own specific programs and People Ops actions across multiple client groups to ensure an engaged and highly impactful teams
    • Develop deep and trusted relationships with client groups on all parts of their business
    • Partner with Head of People and People Ops team on annual company programs such as performance reviews, engagement surveys, headcount planning, and taking proactive initiative to leading and guiding managers/leaders through these programs
    • Own complex performance management, policy and process coaching for employees and leaders
    • Lead and partner on team based People Ops Projects to be ahead of the needs of our expanding organization
    • Ensure strong cross functional and People Ops stakeholder engagement, communication and partnership

You may be a fit for this role if you have

    • BA/BS degree is required
    • 3+ years of experience with coaching at the manager level, including in-depth performance management, preferably in the tech industry and at a startup
    • Demonstrated ability to work within and be successful in a high-growth environment, adapting and adjusting quickly to changing priorities 
    • Excellent Google suite skills: Sheets, Docs, Slides, Forms
    • Analytical and data management skills, with the ability to translate data into action plans
    • Excellent communication and consultative skills; the ability to translate data for different audiences
    • Experience working in a collaborative team environments
    • The ability to build and maintain successful relationships with all levels of the organization by achieving credibility and influencing key decisions 
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with your own work and reviewing the work of othersIn-depth understanding of local, state, and federal requirements across multiples states and countries
    • Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment handling sensitive and confidential data
    • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to drive programs and execute on projects independently and resourcefully
